QualiPSo co-organizes fOSSa 2010

QualiPSo co-organizes this year fOSSa event that take place in Grenoble from 8th to 10th November of 2010. This event is addressed for academy and industry to share experiences and results about Open Source.

QualiPSo set up also a promotional booth for distributing project material and for meeting with our ptoject team. A computer will be ready at the stand for playing with our tools. Come to our stand and we will give a present for testing our tools!

Main project outcomes have been presented in plenary sessions. Open Maturity Model (OMM), methodology and tools for quality assestment (MOSST), licensing compatibility, interoperability issues and next generation forges are some matters that are presenting at the event.

Support remains the weak link in open source software adoption

This survey, and other similar reports, show there is a need for the support model businesses, and perhaps can alleviate the concerns of those in the open source community who believe all software should be free, and those who believe the code should be free, but that they deserve to be able to make a living from their work. The European OpenSource & Free Software Law Event (EOLE) is an event that aims to promote the sharing and dissemination of legal knowledge on Free & Open Source Software (FOSS) licences, as well as the development and promotion of good practices in the field. Given the scientific orientation of the conference, a particular attention is paid to the delivery of qualitative information on a neutral and non-partisan basis.

The QualiPSO consortium supports this event and will held a presentation during the conference on Legal issues & FOSS promotion in the EU.
