Promoting and exploiting QualiPSo results regarding Free Open Source leveraging
The aim of QualiPSo consortium is to help industries and governments fuel innovation and competitiveness with trusted, low cost and flexible Free Open Source Software. With that objective in mind, the QualiPSo exploitation and dissemination activity will promote the results of QualiPSo research and favor their exploitation. The main objectives of this activity are:
- The awareness of QualiPSo results at a worldwide level,
- Promoting Free Open Source at industrial environment to favour its adoption,
- Influencing policy makers for creating laws and regulations supporting Free Open Source,
- Supporting the continuing development of the QualiPSo vision,
- Marketing QualiPSo Factory and Competence Centres and other tools and methodologies.
According to these objectives, the project has defined several dissemination and exploitation tools to overcome the goals.
Project image desing, dissemination material production, relevant events attendance, conferences organization, press releases communication and a living web site are the major instruments used by the project to this purpose.
In this context, a market analysis has been elaborated for the Competence Centers and the Factory with the aim at identifying potential users, main competitors and target market.
A business plan template for the Competence Centers is being produced in order to help these entities to define the way to be sustanaible along the time. The services offered by the Competence Centers must be profitable for ensuring the ecosystem survive
Finally, the industrial board of the project is endorsing a common vision document to express their interest and support to the Free Open Source adoption at all industry levels. It will be published in short through this web site.
