CCM-like Model for OSS

This course focuses on the development of a CMM-like model for FLOSS (Free/Libre Open Source Software). The aim is to enable software companies to use FLOSS software in production and, in particular, in their main stream products. The trust in the development process can bring consistent cost savings and reducing the time to market.
In summary, the course covers:
- Presentation of the OpenSource Maturity Model(OMM) that is a CMMI-like model for Free/Libre OpenSource Software(FLOSS), intended for use by individuals and development teams spread that may be spread across locations worldwide.
- Description of the Trustworthy Elements (TWE), a specific component or aspect of a software product that influences the belief and trust of the stakeholders in the overall quality of the software product, through the assessment of its development process.
- Identification of which elements from CMMI and from TWEs should be included in the QualiPSo OpenSource Maturity Model (OMM).
- Presentation of FLOSS Components Integration model that is used to facilitate the selection , use and further processing of FLOSS products for integration into their own products.
- Description of how the OMM can be used by the companies to support and assess FLOSS development process.
- Definition of a collection of goals, questions and metrics for the Trustworthy Elements (TWE).
- Presentation of the OMM evolution aspects.
